The Rotary Club of Owasso champions early education by providing every third-grade student in our community with a personal student dictionary—an essential tool to spark curiosity, build vocabulary, and foster lifelong learning.
We believe in the power of literacy. As the saying goes, “Children learn to read up to age three. From age three and up, they read to learn.”
By giving every third grader a dictionary, we help bridge the gap between learning to read and reading to learn.
Each year, we take action to equip classrooms across Owasso with this valuable resource. In 2023, we delivered 730 dictionaries to students in 14 schools. In 2024, we reached 740 third graders across 13 schools. This consistent outreach ensures that no child is left behind in their journey toward literacy.
Your support helps us continue this mission—empowering young minds, one dictionary at a time.
